After completing his Post Graduation in Personnel Management from Madras School of Social Work, Mr.Unnithan went on to do the Fellow Programme in Management at Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta. He has also completed his Advanced Human Process Lab Programme of the ISABS. 
Recruited from IIM campus to Brooke Bond India as a Management Trainee, he rose to become the Management-Personnel Manager. As part of Unileverisation, Mr.Unnithan was selected to do the entire management selection for all the Unilever Companies in India including Hindustan Lever Ltd., Brooke Bond, Ponds and Lipton based at Levers in Bombay. He was also responsible for the HRD functions including managing the trainee scheme of the high profile Management Trainees predominantly from the reputed Management & Technology Institutes for the entire group then totaling 150 plus. 

After a stint for 3 years with Hindustan Lever Ltd., Mr. Unnithan left for an overseas assignment as Deputy General Manager in Human Resources with Jumbo Electronics, Dubai. After serving for a couple of years, he came back to India on a transfer as Vice President- Group Human Resources for all the Chhabria Group of Companies, which included Shaw Wallace, Dunlop India, Mather & Platt and Hindustan Dorr Oliver, among others, at Bombay. 

After a short sojourn with the Chhabria Group, Mr. Unnithan started his own consulting outfits – CAREER REACH  &  REKON INDIA  and is based at Bangalore.

He was associated as Director with Encompass People Development Services which specializes in the strategic HR interventions. His earlier associations include Director - Vertebrand Management Consulting Group and HR Advisor to a host of Companies such as Logix Microsystems, Elite Group of Companies, Entel India, Megabowl Pvt. Ltd, Zip Telecom and Allianz Cornhill. He was also involved with BASF India, GMR Group and Auma India as a Consultant for various assignments related to HR. 

Mr. Unnithan over a period of time gathered rich experience in multi-national, multi-locational and multi-industry environments both in India and U.A.E. He possesses man-management and conceptual skills coupled with implementation, consulting and advisory experience. 

His core areas of strength have been in recruitment, training, organization structure, counseling, harmonization on mergers and also in the identification of competencies of personnel.
